As expected GOLD tumbled to a low of 1698.45, but missed September’s low of 1685.55 , and tried to recover late week to close at 1711.95 . Though the bears are still around, I’m suspicious of a double bottom around 1699.00. Should the pattern play out, we can expect price to test a critical resistance at 1736.00 . Otherwise, the top channel may be strong enough to hold the bulls at 1724.50 and extend the bearish channel to 1662.00 .
